Office of Research Services - Section of Regulatory Compliance for Laboratory Programs

The Section of Regulatory Compliance for Laboratory Programs is responsible for ensuring the division is in compliance with international, federal, state, local rules, regulations and guidelines, along with the ethical principles regarding aspects of laboratory research. This includes administering the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) http://ors.bsd.uchicago.edu/IACUC/, Animal Use in Teaching Committee (AUTC), Institutional Biosafety Committee ( IBC ) http://ors.bsd.uchicago.edu/ IBC /, and IACUC/ IBC Safety programs.

Office of Research Services – Section of Regulatory Compliance for Human Subjects

The Section of Regulatory Compliance for Human Subjects is responsible for oversight of all research programs that involve the use of human subjects. The section manages the three Institutional Review Boards (IRB) in the Division and the University and University Hospitals Combined Use of Radioisotopes and Radioactive Drug Research Committee (RDRC).

    The cNetID (Chicago Network Identifier) is your username for your NSIT account. Generally speaking, you'll recognize it as the first part of your email address. Your cNetID is your username for common NSIT services (Webmail, proxy server, logging into harper, Eudora) and many non- NSIT sites (registrar's web pages, GSB portal, to name a few).
  • USITE Computing Clusters
    Known as USITE clusters, Academic Technologies manages and maintains three general-purpose computing facilities for members of the university community.
  • Going online at home
    NSIT provides the Connectivity Package to help members of the University community configure their computers for Internet access and to supply pre-configured applications that take advantage of that connection. The documentation walks you through installing the Connectivity Package and gets you started using its applications.
