- Office of Minorities Student Affairs
OMSA supports the University's efforts to increase minority student representation and helps to promote a University community which welcomes cultural diversity and values the contributions of all of its members. We serve the African American, Latino, and Native American populations; as of January 2004, OMSA also serves Asian American students. We offer programs and services to support minority students’ academic and social success and serve as a clearinghouse for information. We also support policies and programs designed to reaffirm the University's commitment to diversity.

The Association for Women in Science, Inc. (AWIS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to achieving equity and full participation of women in all areas of science, technology, and engineering. The Chicago Area Chapter of the Association for Women in Science was founded in 1978 as a local chapter of the national organization. Our national organization has over 5000 women scientists and other individuals who support women in science.The Chicago Area Chapter comprises over 200 people representing government, corporate, private, and academic institutions. - The University Community Service Center (UCSC)
Organization working to foster an active culture of community service at the University of Chicago. Created in 1992 as a student-run organization, the UCSC significantly increased the interest in and demand for community service opportunities at the University. The University responded in the autumn of 1996 by establishing the Office of the University Community Service Center to serve as a clearinghouse linking the University community to meaningful volunteer opportunities throughout the city.
