GRANT WRITING I - November 1999

We had our first workshop on grant writing  and the discussion was very informative and interactive. The discussion was enthusiastically led by Tony Mahowald, Harinder Singh and Chip Ferguson who are all faculty in the Molecular Biosciences cluster and serve on fellowship review boards (Tony-Life Science Research Foundation, Chip-ACS, Harinder-NIH).

Interesting questions from several postdocs and graduate students, made this workshop highly animated.  The possibility of having sample fellowship applications which demonstrate good writing and content available for everyone was also raised, and we're coordinating this with the speakers.  Since time was limited, during the workshop, we're enclosing here a list of web pages useful to find funding sources.
